Privacy policy
Last updated June 28, 2026
Banneton is private by design. The app does not collect your personal data. Your starters, feeds, bakes, recipes, and photos live on your device and sync only through your own iCloud account. There is no Banneton account and no server of ours that stores your content.
What we collect
Nothing about you, by default. The app’s App Store privacy label is Data Not Collected. We do not use analytics that identify you, we do not track you across apps or websites, and we do not sell or share your data.
Where your data lives
All of your content is stored locally using Apple’s on-device storage. If you are signed in to iCloud and have it enabled, Apple syncs your content to your private iCloud database so it appears on your other devices. That sync is handled by Apple under Apple’s terms and privacy policy. We cannot see it.
Subscriptions
Purchases are processed by Apple. We use RevenueCat to manage subscription state. RevenueCat receives only the information needed to know whether you have an active subscription, not your baking data or personal content. See Apple’s and RevenueCat’s privacy policies for how they handle purchase data.
Camera and photos
If you add a photo to a feed or a bake, the app uses your camera or photo library only to attach that image. Photos stay on your device and in your iCloud. They are not uploaded to us.
Children
Banneton is a general-audience baking app and is not directed to children. Because we do not collect personal data, we do not knowingly collect data from children.
Your choices
You can delete any starter, feed, or bake in the app at any time, and you can export your records to CSV. To remove everything, delete the app, which removes its on-device data, and remove its iCloud data from your Apple ID settings.
Changes
If this policy changes, we will update the date above and post the new version here.
